Guided Intake provides a customizable guided experience for making purchasing requests. Whether you want to create a request for a new supplier, update an existing supplier, or even create a new purchase order, Guided Intake can help you. The availability and abilities of Guided Intake will depend on your organization’s specific implementation. Guided Intake is designed for an organization's typical user and is therefore only available for Graphite Casual users (users who don’t have special permissions within Graphite).

Getting started
To use Guided Intake, simply click on the central search bar of your homepage. Once clicked, the guided experience will display in a popover below the search bar. If needed, you can still use the search bar to conduct searches.
If enabled, your organization has created its own unique question flow, tailored directly to your organization’s setup.
A few initial questions will guide you down the correct path. If you want to purchase something you will then be prompted by a few other initial questions like: “How much are you spending?”, “Where will these products/services be supplied?”, and “Have you selected a supplier?”
If implemented, you can select an action to perform on a supplier. Actions can be unique to your organization, and once an action is selected, you can then choose your intended supplier.
If you already know the supplier you would like to use, the system will provide an interface for you to search for and select that supplier. If the supplier doesn’t have existing data within Graphite, you will be able to send a new invitation to that supplier.
Once you navigate through the guided experience, you will be presented with a card detailing all your choices and any instructions, contact information, internal policies, and finally an action button to drive you to your need. Some pathways may lead you to internal forms to initiate your requests while others may lead to external applications or sites as necessary.
