How to Display User Attribute Data in SSO Settings

  • Updated

Graphite can seamlessly connect with your SSO provider to not only create a secure login experience for your internal team, but also display specific pieces of data that can be helpful for internal coordination and communication.

To access your SSO admin settings, you must have an IT Admin permission level or Admin permission level in Graphite.

Depending on which SAML data fields your IT team has given your SSO provider access to, some non-standard or additional data fields containing information like a user’s direct manager, location and title can be displayed within Graphite.

These fields can be displayed when viewing a user contact card in Graphite.

To update these settings, head to your admin settings.

All fields available for configuration (based on your IT team and SSO provider setup) will be seen under the column “SAML Attribute”.

If you’d like to allow other users to see this attribute when they hover over the user’s name across the Graphite platform, simply enter a “Display Name” in the far-right box .

Any fields that do not have text in the “Display Name” column will not be shown in user profiles.

If new fields are made available within your SSO configuration by your IT team, they will not automatically be surfaced – a manual update to the “Display Name” field is required.
