Graphite has a monthly release process that includes all major planned updates to the platform. As part of this process, all planned changes flow through a number of testing environments to ensure customers and their technical teams are able to test platform updates, ask questions, and point out potential issues prior to release.

All environments are multi-tenant, which means this process is standardized across all customers.

Proof of Concept (POC) Environment Overview

In the POC (Sandbox) environment, Graphite’s development team consistently releases code and configuration in order to rapidly test and QA any platform updates. Customers who are using this environment for testing should be aware that releases to POC will not be communicated regularly.

The POC (Sandbox) environment can be used by customers who require an additional lower-level environment to test integrations or other complex workflows that require additional development and testing.

Staging Environment Overview

The Staging environment is our pre-production environment and the code represents the Production environment for the first 2 weeks of the month. In preparation for the next release, all code that passes our rigorous internal testing process is moved to the Staging environment two weeks prior to the planned monthly release to allow our customers to test and identify any potential problems.

An email is sent to all customers describing these changes and the timeline for testing.

All code pushed to Staging will have received testing from the Graphite QA/UAT team, and any issues identified by customers in Staging should be highlighted to your Technical Account Manager as soon as possible in order to make sure it is resolved before release to Production.

Production Environment Overview

The Graphite production environment is a live, multi-tenant environment. Unless otherwise communicated, all updates to the Production environment are released on the first Wednesday of the month. Hotfixes may be released throughout the month after completing our QA and UAT process.
