Buyers guide to Topic Reviews

What you need to know

Topic Reviews can be enabled for any topic within Graphite Connect, but are commonly used in the Compliance topics, such as Ethics and Integrity, Information Security, and Data Privacy. Topic Reviews are used to assign supplier-level risk during onboarding, and with built-in rescreening, your teams can track this risk over time.

How Topic Reviews are triggered

By default, Graphite Connect creates a manual topic review when any question in that topic has a "potential" high-risk flag. These topic review tasks are assigned to the corresponding topic owner.

Alternatively, if all questions in the topic have low-risk flags, then the topic review is auto-approved by the system, and a rescreen is scheduled for 3 years in the future.

đź’ˇHow your company sets defaults for topic reviews may be different per your business requirements. This will be addressed during implementation, or you can work with your Customer Success Manager to make adjustments over time.

Completing the Review

Topic Reviews are unique to each topic, enabling companies to assign risk and compliance reviews to specific teams.

Graphite Connect makes identification of both high- and low-risk answers simple, so you can easily review areas of concern and ask any questions via in-app messaging. All of your assessments are notated directly on the supplier profile, so information about a past review is always available.

Tasks can be created for your supplier, and Action Plans allow you to tie tasks together into a mitigation plan.

Once all required fields are complete, the save button changes to “Complete Review”, at which point the task will be removed from your dashboard.

Automatic Rescreening

The system automatically sets a date for a future topic review based on either the default settings or based on custom logic as defined during your integration. This date can be modified when completing the topic review. This means you never have to worry about missing a topic review again.

Default next rescreen dates:

  • Critical/High - 1 year
  • Medium - 2 years
  • Low - 3 years
