Over the course of a business relationship, it may be necessary to disconnect from a connection.
Disconnect puts the connection into an 'inactive' state. It allows your company to still see the connection record and view any pertinent internal notes, approvals and past topic reviews.
You may want to disconnect from a connection because you are no longer doing business with them, or you choose not to move forward with them as a trusted supplier for a variety of reasons.
The option to Disconnect from a connection is available in the Review, Connect or Connected stages.
If you want to disconnect from a connection that is still in the Invite stage, please read this article instead.
To Disconnect a connection, search for the company and open the connection record.
In the left-hand menu, click 'More Actions'.
Select 'Disconnect from supplier'. (For some instances, the option may be 'Request Supplier Disconnect'.)
Once Disconnect has been selected, a Disconnect Checklist is created for administrators at your company to review the disconnect and answer a few questions about the connection. Such as: 'Why would you like to disconnect from this connection?' and 'Is this connection approved for future business (Reconnect)?'
If you have any questions about this process, please contact your company Admins or contact your Graphite contact.
